Show: Bloodline
Inside Castle Volkihar:

"For my daughter's prophylactic return, yous have my gratitude. Tell me, what is your proper noun?"

I'm Dragonborn (Player name) . Who are you?
You first.
"I am Harkon, lord of this courtroom. By at present, my girl will have told yous what we are."
You're vampires. "Non just vampires. We are among the oldest and most powerful vampires in Skyrim."
You're a reclusive cannibal cult. "Non quite, though I tin run across how an outsider might arrive at that conclusion. No, we are vampires, amidst the oldest and most powerful in Skyrim."
I don't actually care what you are. "Possibly you should. I count some of the oldest and most powerful vampires in Skyrim among the members of my court."
"For centuries we lived here, far from the cares of the world. All that concluded when my wife betrayed me and stole away that which I valued virtually."
Do I become a advantage for finding your daughter? "I was well-nigh to suggest that very thing. Yes, you nigh certainly deserve a reward."
What happens at present? "You have done me a keen service, and at present you must be rewarded."
"In that location is but one gift I can requite that is equal in value to the Elder Gyre and my girl. I offer you my claret. Take it, and you will walk equally a king of beasts among sheep. Men volition tremble at your approach, and you volition never fearfulness death again."
And if I refuse your gift? "And then y'all volition be casualty, like all mortals. I will spare your life this once, but you lot volition be banished from this hall."
I'grand already a vampire. What more can y'all offer me? (If a vampire.) "You contracted a illness, possibly, just you are no true vampire. Accept my souvenir and I promise that you will learn the difference. Refuse me, and I volition banish yous from this castle. I will spare your life this once, but later that, you are prey."
I'm a werewolf. What will happen if I accept your gift? (If a werewolf.) "Yes, I can smell it on you. The power of my blood will purge that filth and make y'all whole over again."
"Perhaps you still demand convincing? Behold the ability! This is the power that I offer! Now, make your selection!"
I will accept your gift and get a vampire. "Be however!"
I don't want to become a vampire. I refuse. "So be it! You are prey, like all mortals. I banish you!"

If becoming a vampire lord is chosen:

"Awake at last, adept. The ability is growing inside you, and now you must larn to wield it."

I'thousand fix to larn about my new powers. "With my guidance y'all will become a deadly instrument, striking terror in the hearts of mortals wherever yous tread. Now, listen to my words and do as I instruct. The true power of the ancient blood is found in the class of the Vampire Lord. Presume the pall of the Vampire Lord, and we will go on."
What happened? How did I go here? "My blood is potent. At first, the body is overwhelmed by information technology. Later on my bite, you collapsed and fell into a slumber. At present your flesh has acclimated to the new blood that courses through your veins. I clinch yous, no harm was done. In truth, your force surprises me. Not all mortals can withstand my embrace."
What is this place? "A shrine to Molag Bal, the mighty Daedra Prince who is father to all our kind. Our power is a approving from him. It is he who offset bestowed the souvenir of the ancient blood upon me."
Y'all fabricated a pact with Molag Bal? "In an age long forgotten to history, I ruled as a mighty male monarch. My domain was vast, my riches endless and my power infinite. And however, as my mortal life neared an terminate, I faced a seemingly invincible enemy -- my own mortality. I pledged myself to Molag Bal, and in his name I sacrificed a thousand innocents. In reward, he gave everlasting life to me, my wife and my daughter. And so I have defeated mortality itself."

Later on changing into a vampire lord:

"In this grade, you tin can drain the life from your foes with your correct hand. With your left hand, you tin can wield the power of blood magic to enhance the dead. You can as well call upon the powers of night to turn into a swarm of bats and reappear some distance abroad. Should you run out of magicka, you can descend to the ground and fight every bit the beasts do. Do so at present and we will keep."

After landing:

"Good. You are weaker while on the ground, because yous cannot access the claret magic. However, the night powers are still yours to command, and your claws are still formidable weapons. Over time, your powers will grow in strength and you volition observe new ways to employ your gifts."

After viewing the perk tree:

"There is much to learn, merely if you master the powers of the Vampire Lord, few enemies will be able to stand confronting you."

Afterwards selecting a power:

"In that location is ane terminal thing you must know. Slaying mortal men with your life drain grants you new night powers and blood magic. I go on a stable of thralls in the castle should you demand to feed like the baser vampires to stave off the sun. That is all I have to teach y'all. If you wish to exist reminded of these lessons, y'all need merely ask. I have a task that will test your new powers, but beginning, do you accept whatsoever questions?"

I'm ready to behave out this task. "Good. Go and speak to Garan Marethi. Tell him it is time. He will understand."
Tell me again nigh beingness a Vampire Lord. "When you get-go transform into a Vampire Lord, you will hover in the air. While you practice, you volition control the powers of Blood and Dark. Descend to the footing, and you tin can set on with your claws and feed upon your prey to regain your force. With feel, your powers volition grow and you will discover new means to apply them."
What must I know about existence a vampire? "Every bit a vampire, you proceeds new powers, but also a weakness to sunlight. With each passing twenty-four hour period that y'all do non feed, that weakness will become more deadly, but your powers will also become stronger. Feed upon those who are sleeping, and your vulnerability to sunlight will diminish forth with your powers."

Within Castle Volkihar:

There are some things I want to ask you about. "You lot have earned my trust, and so I will share what I tin."

When yous greeted Serana, it sounded like you hadn't seen her in a long fourth dimension. "Serana and her female parent disappeared long agone. I commanded every vampire in the court to look for them, just afterwards centuries of searching without success, I lost hope. In my heart, I know that it was my married woman, Valerica, who took my beloved daughter away from me. If I ever see her again, she volition pay most dearly for that betrayal. What else practise you desire to know?"
I heard you mention Serana'southward mother. What happened to her? "Her name was Valerica. She has been gone for so long now, I can only presume that she has left this earth, one mode or another. I will say only that we did not office on proficient terms. What else do you lot want to know?"
That's all I wanted to ask. "Very well."
Testify: Prophet
Inside Castle Volkihar:

"Ah, y'all are here. Good."

Yous wanted to speak to me? "Yes, I did. When I told y'all that I was grateful for my girl's safe return, I told the truth. But I did non tell yous everything."
I suspected as much. "Good. Potent instincts and a cunning mind volition serve you as well as blade, spell or claw."
When do you plan to start trusting me? "Do not presume to tell me who I can and cannot trust. I possess the wisdom of a dozen lifetimes, and I will make my own judgements. At present be silent, and hear what I have to say."
"Equally yous know, vampires are powerful, simply we accept limits. Our corking enemy is the sunday, and until recently it'due south an enemy we've had no way to fight. For centuries I searched for an answer to this problem. I found an old prophecy written past a Moth Priest, those scholars who read the Elder Scrolls. The prophecy tells of a time in which vampires will gain ability over the sun, and will no longer fear its tyranny. I believe the secret to unraveling that prophecy is written in Serana'southward Elder Roll. I have ordered the courtroom to get together. I take a new task for u.s.a. all to carry out, and that includes you lot. Come up now, and hear my proclamation."

Upon returning with the Moth Priest:

"Well done! Somehow I knew it would exist you and Serana who plant our moth priest."

I have made the moth priest my thrall. "Aye, I see that. I trust his capture was not as well difficult a task?"
The Dawnguard tried to cease me, but they posed no threat. "I wish I could have been there to hear the sounds of their screams."
The Dawnguard were there. They fought well, but not well plenty. "They are adamant and well-armed, but foolish if they call back they can defy u.s.a.. We will deal with them in time."
The Dawnguard were protecting him, and they virtually killed me. "We both know that a ring of fools with crossbows is no match for a scion of the ancient blood. I admit, I do not entirely sympathise your sense of humour."
"Well, your thrall awaits and we have given him the Elderberry Scroll. Command him to read it, and permit us hear the words of prophecy together."

Later hearing the reading:

"That was... not equally useful as I would take liked. Fifty-fifty and so, you did well."

Do you know where these other scrolls are? "My traitor wife stole one of them abroad and then disappeared. As for the other, the final I heard, it was lost in the bowels of a Dwemer ruin. It seems our work is not yet done. Simply I have waited this long, and we are and so very close now. I tin wait a fleck longer."
Prove: Kindred Judgment
Inside Castle Volkihar:

"It appears I have y'all to give thanks for turning my girl against me. I knew it was only a affair of fourth dimension before your appetite outgrew your loyalty."

Loyalty? You never intended to let me alive. "A modest toll to pay for the betterment of our kind."
Y'all're an insult to our kind. "Oh, come up at present... spare me your notions of kinship. Yous've just used Serana in an attempt to take away what should rightfully be mine."
I would never use Serana like that. "The vampire is eternal, and with immortality comes the revelation that these bonds never suffer... information technology'south fleeting, momentary at best."
No, I'one thousand here to prevent our annihilation. "Ah, I see yous've been speaking to Valerica and she'due south convinced you that eternal night volition plunge us into war with daytime dwellers. If just it were so. With the globe in shadow, nosotros would never tire, never weaken... more than a match for their sad armies."
The bow belongs to me now. "Finally, a trace of honesty in our little conversation. How does information technology feel to hold the fate of the vampire in your grasp. Exhilarating, isn't it?"
Enough of this! "Yep, quite. I'1000 growing weary of speaking to y'all and my traitorous girl. I'll requite you a single chance to turn over the bow to me. At that place will not be a second."
Never. "Very well and then, you get out me no choice!"
Very well. (Requite Auriel'due south Bow) "Deplorable. Merely sad. I expected more from the defiant fool that beguiled my girl. No matter. Serana will sacrifice her claret for the sake of the prophecy, and I volition banquet upon yours in Molag Bal's accolade!"
... "Picayune patience for talk? Skillful. Permit'south end this!"

"I'll rend the flesh from your basic!"

If a Dawnguard:

"It appears I take y'all to thank for turning my girl confronting me. I knew it was only a affair of fourth dimension before she'd return with hatred in her eye."

Hatred born of your neglect. "A small price to pay for the edification of our kind."
Your kind is a blight on this globe. "Yeah, yep. Always the noble vampire hunter. And what happens when you've slain me? Is Valerica side by side? Is Serana?"
I would never impairment Serana. She's also important to me. "Then my girl is truly lost. She died the moment she accepted a mortal into her life."
I'm only here to kill you. "I encounter. Interesting that you tin can set bated your morals when it suits you."
This is about more than killing vampires. "Ah, of course. The prophecy. You've come here to stop me from taking Auriel's Bow and shrouding the world in darkness."
Plenty of this! "Yes, quite. I'1000 growing weary of speaking to you and my traitorous daughter. I'll requite you lot a single gamble to turn over the bow to me. There will not be a second."
Never. "Very well and then, y'all go out me no pick!"
Very well. (Give Auriel'south Bow) "Lamentable. Simply pitiful. I expected more than from the defiant fool that beguiled my daughter. No thing. Serana will cede her blood for the sake of the prophecy, and I volition feast upon yours in Molag Bal's accolade!"

"I'll rend the flesh from your bones!"
